San Diego, CA: On the Road with Jerry Sittser and Mindy Smith
Whitworth faces the challenge of being deeply Christian in a culture of higher education that seems to gravitate toward two extremes: completely secular or very conservative. The former has long rejected the Christian roots of higher education; the latter seeks to preserve Christian identity by establishing clear boundary markers. Whitworth is committed to doing Christian education differently. Our primary conviction is to keep aiming at the bullseye rather than to protect the boundaries.

Join Professor of Theology Jerry Sittser and Campus Pastor Mindy Smith for a conversation about the promise and perils of this approach, and how Whitworth is living out this approach on campus.
