Ministry Partner Network 2018-2019

The Ministry Partner Network (MPN) is our way of inviting you to partner with the OCE in current programs and projects, but also to help us shape future offerings.  Everything we have done and will do is a direct response to what your churches indicate will be most helpful. Through the MPN, you will enter into a relationship with the OCE and with a network of dozens of churches that hope to develop an effective ministry in an increasingly secular region of the country.

Upon submitting your application and annual $500 membership cost each Fall, your church or ministry organization becomes a partner in the MPN for the following calendar year, starting the first of January. As a member of the MPN, people involved in your ministry will have access to the following OCE programs for additional fees:

  • The Academy provides a variety of tracks (courses), the subjects from which are prompted by the needs and relevant topics of ministry partners. Features of the Academy include: training in cohorts, application to ordinary life, cultural engagement, and practical instruction, like practices, projects, and lectures.
  • Tracks: $100/person/track (five people cohort minimum)
  • The Summer Fellowship Program prayerfully pairs Whitworth students to ministry partners within the Office of Church Engagement's global network. During summer, the 10- to 12-week holistic ministry experience provides avenues for students to explore the ways in which God is calling them into the world, while in turn, the ministry is supported by a fellow, committed to meeting practical needs and building the capacity of each ministry.
  • Site Contribution: $2,000 / fellow
  • Previously titled the Whitworth Institute of Ministry (WIM), the OCE annual conference hosts ministries from across the United States for intentional fellowship, spiritual renewal, scripture study, and vibrant worship and preaching. The Summit will focus upon ministry equipping related to the seven learning communities within the calling initiatives, listed below.
  • Ministry Partners receive $100 discount per person when registering for the Whitworth Ministry Summit.
  • Learn and walk alongside other ministries in your exploration of what it means to be "called" by God to kingdom work. Learning communities have formed around seven common callings, including: Intergenerational Youth Ministry, Hospitality with Refugees and Immigrants, Creation Care, Worship, Church as Reconciling Community, Gospel Faithfulness in the City / Church Planting, Preaching and Teaching Scripture.
  • Ministry Partners are provided resources to explore and expand their callings within each learning community.
